Caribbean: St. Lucia, Dennery Tropical Ziplining.

There I was standing at least 40 feet above the ground and about to fly through the air. I hate heights. I kept asking myself in my head, what am I doing? Before I had an answer I heard someone say, ready? Okay go! I was soaring through the air on a zipline. My panic subsided. I forgot about how I don’t like being up high in the air. I really felt like I was flying. I landed at the second platform knowing that I wanted to do that again and that it was amazing. [Read More]

Caribbean: St. Lucia, Coconut Bay Resort and Spa.

Experience the authentic (yet-to-be-discovered) Atlantic side of St. Lucia. Nestled amid swaying palms along Savannes Bay on the island’s undiscovered south coast, with friendly people, beautiful vistas and Caribbean “quiet” days, The Bay offers families an all-inclusive beachfront vacation option. Walk along the soft-sand beach, wiggle your toes in the water, watch local fishermen, count sea gulls, snorkel in the bay, sip tropical drinks and gaze at the surf as the sun sets. This is the good stuff. [Read More]

Enjoy a day of snorkeling, take a submarine ride or practice your tennis swing. You will find something for each member of your family.   [Read More]

Curacao: Willemstad, Swimming with the Dolphins.

“When a dolphin comes alongside, swim with it and try to make eye contact. They will swim with you,” the trainer seemed insistent as she gave us the instructions. I discovered that was not as easy to do as it sounded. The Curacao Sea Aquarium conducts a variety of encounters with sealife. I chose the Dolphin Swim. Moving awkwardly to the entry platform, my fins feeling enormous, I listened obediently to the dolphin trainer instruct us on how to interact with the dolphins. Our group was small and we were paired in twos for the adventure. The manmade lagoon looked safe enough with no chance of waves distracting from the experience. [Read More]
